Our first project!!!
Our first project was a timeline of our lives. (past, present, and possible future) This was so we could get to know our classmates better and our teacher better. We drew designs on a long strip of receipt paper and colored pencils that resembles an event in our lives. For our first project I think this one is so far one of my favorites this year, and I liked the whole set-up of this. We basically weaved all of the slips of paper together and this is what it turned out to look like! There is another one like this, but I had to put up this one here since mine was in this specific one.
My Timeline
Well this is my timeline, and I'm sorry if it looks a bit blurry. I liked how most of it turned out, and I made sure to put details into it. This project is very important to me, because it basically defines who I am. Most of these drawings have more than one meaning to me, but you can attempt to guess what their meanings are.
Zoom in #1 California
This picture is the first one in my timeline, and it basically stands for where I was born. Which would be California. I don't remember it much though since we did move to the wonderful state of Iowa. And no, I will not say exactly where... That's all it pretty much stands for, because what else could it stand for?
Zoom in #2 Philippines
Philippines. That's all I'm going to say. It's where my mother was born, and I finally got to go there. I got to meet my cousins, and all of my other amazing relatives. Even though I couldn't really talk to a majority of them... I had to use islands to stand for it, because there was nothing else I could use. Unless you wanted a chicken on there. I guess I could make arrangements. So, that's it for that!
Zoom in #3 Yin and Yang
Yin & Yang. Light and dark. Balance. If only you all knew, but you all don't. Believe me, it's a very, very, very, (and I can't put enough very's in there,) long story. The story behind this one has so many meanings that it would take up many long pages. The rope stands for some past years, and all of the craziness that happened. Yin and Yang stands for all of the best/worst times ever, but that also stands for something so complicated and long I can't even speak of it. I will say one thing though. It does stand for the best thing (*cough, cough* person) in the world, and that will never, EVER, change. Ever.
