Other (older) school projects
These are all projects from the past that I have grown to like over the years. Most of them are from my first year in high school, but there are a few from other years. I like how most of them turned out though, so I figured I would put them on here.
Water Lilly
Only project that turned out great in 5th grade!!!
This is a... Well... I don't really know actually. All I know is that it is made of stretched silk and some ink liquid. That's pretty much all I know about it. I made it in 5th grade in Mrs. Brandt's art class and I don't remember much about it other than it had to be a flower or something else like that.
Horses. . .
And to think I did this in one night...
This one was my semester project in my first year here at CLHS. I honestly didn't have much time to work on this so it didn't turn out as well as I hoped... I still think it turned out a bit nicer than I expected though, so I guess it's OK in the end. Its a colored pencil/oil pastel drawing, and I had some difficulties with the whole smearing issue.
Explosion
I just barely made this on time...
First of all, sorry for the glare. The light didn't want to cooperate with me, and the camera didn't feel like turning off its flash. :] This is the best one I could get out of all the pictures I took, but you basically get the idea. I hope. You could also use your imagination on this one, and pretend the glare isn't there. This was my final project in the school year (9th) and I made sure I worked on this one for a long time. It's with acrylics and that's about it for the materials I used besides the poster board type paper...
Still Life (last year)
This was the 2nd messiest project ever!!!
Another still life, but this one was in a previous year. Our teacher asked us to pick out one thing in a pile of stuff, and draw it using as much detail as possible. Well I did just that. We used charcoal and on the left side there was supposed to be a value scale but the camera decided to conveniently cut it off. :] So, that's one of my first still-life drawings I've ever done, and it's not my last!
Cheshire Cat
We wanted the eyes to pop so we added some green. . .
Group project! This officially takes the award for the messiest project ever. We made it on a large sheet of cardboard, and we used chalks instead of charcoals to give this drawing some color. It appears to have worked. This took us a long time since we kept having to wash our hands every time we wanted a new color, but there were four to five of us, so we got it done anyways.
