Postcards
This project is about what our life is about currently, in the past, and in the future. We were required to use watercolors and frame it with, a, umm, something thats almost like cardboard. This was a way we could get to know our other classmates, and learn about them. While I chose to make my notecards about my past, present, and future, others have chosen to make their three notecards of favorite quotes, movies, teams, etc. What you used the notecards for was basically up to you. We used watercolor paper, I think that's what it's called... O.o
Overall
This is the overall of the whole project. We put them in order from the first to the last, and this is what it turned out to look like. I chose the scenes/items I thought would best represent what has happened in my life.
#1 Past
For the past I decided to paint where my mom came from, and where a majority of my family is. I painted the ocean with a beach, and mountains in the background, just like in the Philippines. I didn't add as many details I would've liked, but that'll have to work. We had only a certain amount of time for this so I was rushing a bit, but oh well...
#2 Present
The present, where everything is getting tied up and confusing. I attempted to draw some rope, and I guess it worked out somewhat well. I was a bit lazy so I didn't paint in the individual lines, because I felt as if there wasn't really a point in it. So, yeah, that's what the rope represents. How decisions are hard to make right now and how some problems are getting mixed up with other problems making one big knot.
#3 Future
The bird. I chose that to represent the future becasue you never know what the future will be. It will be as free as the bird is. I made this one stand vertically, because I wanted this one to be different from the rest in more ways than one. I made sure to use brighter colors so it would stand out a lot more. This design was a last minute one because I didn't know what I would put for the future. No one knows what is going to happen in the future, so its hard to represent what will happen in the future using a symbol/picture.
